Update from Howling for Wolves: Protect America’s Wolves from Coast to Coast

Dear Wolf Advocate,

You can help!
Encourage members of Congress and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to keep wolves listed as "threatened." Let them know that smart, science-based strategies work and will keep America's wolves on the path to recovery. Contact your elected officials in Washington, D.C. today.

Wolves are vital for our ecology and wildlife health and habitat. Currently, our Great Lakes wolves are granted federal protections under the Endangered Species Act. And the future of all wolves in America relies on effective, science-based, nonlethal plans and protective measures to support the health and regrowth of our wolf population.

Unfortunately, there are some politicians in Washington, D.C. who seek to remove those protections and move wolf management to the state level with no federal oversight. This would mean all states could once again implement reckless policies -- including recreational wolf hunts -- that endangered wolves in the first place.

Federal protections are necessary to ensure a long-term future for the wolf. It is up to us to ensure wolves have federal Endangered Species Act protections.

Take action today and tell your friends.
